Sketch of Metro Denver Area Cities |
- Aurora, a large city in its own
right, is a virtual synonym for Denver's eastern suburbs.
- Cherry Hills and Greenwood
Village
are "upscale" bedroom communities.
- As the name implies, Commerce
City
is a city of industry and commerce.
- Denver, the area's urban center,
is the location of older homes as well as suburban
construction dating from the 1950's & 1960's
- The Denver Tech Center area is Metro Denver's
largest complex of office parks. It is the location of
many regional offices and corporate headquarters
- Many of the newer unincorporated suburbs of Southeast
Metro Denver carry the Englewood Address.
- Golden has its own true,
small-town identity.
- If you like the very latest in new construction, try
the master planned community of Highlands
Ranch
to the south.
- Lakewood is the large, older
suburban city to the west.
- Many of the unincorporated suburbs of southeast Metro
Denver carry the Littleton address despite the fact
they are not within Littleton's city limits.
- Morrison is tiny, a virtual
"crossroads".
- Parker is a new bedroom community
growing up around an older town.
- The north and northwestern towns of Broomfield,
Northglenn, Westminster, Thornton, Arvada, and Wheat
Ridge
are bedroom communities generally built since the 1950's.
